Published on: 16th November, 2024

This episode of Remnant Ministries focuses on the significant power of our words and the importance of confessing positively. The speaker emphasizes that "death and life are in the power of the tongue," urging listeners to be mindful of what they say and how it can shape their realities. Throughout the discussion, the speaker shares personal anecdotes and biblical references, illustrating how our confessions can create or destroy our circumstances. By aligning our speech with God's Word, we can build a successful and prosperous life rather than succumbing to negativity and despair. The episode serves as a powerful reminder to monitor our words, as they not only reflect our hearts but also influence the world around us.

The podcast opens with an uplifting message from Speaker A, who sets a positive tone by affirming that this is a day made by the Lord, encouraging listeners to rejoice and not allow negativity to overshadow their joy. The central theme revolves around the power of words and confessions, as Speaker A emphasizes that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Drawing from Proverbs 18:21, the discussion delves into how our spoken words can shape our realities, urging listeners to be mindful of what they say. Speaker A warns against making negative confessions, highlighting the tendency of individuals to let their circumstances dictate their speech instead of being led by the Spirit. This leads into a powerful exhortation about the responsibility each person has in creating their world through their words, emphasizing that one’s life can improve or worsen based on what comes out of their mouth.

Throughout the conversation, Speaker A shares personal anecdotes and biblical references to illustrate the profound impact of speech. The episode touches on the significance of intentionality in communication, urging listeners to avoid unwholesome talk and instead focus on uplifting speech that aligns with God’s promises. The podcast also addresses the dangers of allowing external voices—such as those from psychics or negative influences—to dictate one’s narrative, reinforcing the idea that individuals hold the power to shape their destinies through their spoken words. The episode culminates in a call to action for listeners to be more aware of their confessions, encouraging a deliberate practice of speaking life and positivity into their circumstances.

Speaker A beautifully intertwines scripture with practical advice, making the message relatable and actionable. Speaker A:

Hey, what's going on?

Speaker A:

This is brother Dre on the mic, and welcome to another episode of Remnant Ministries, where the Word is being taught.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Hope that you're having a good day on today.

Speaker A:

Listen, I'm gonna start it off like this.

Speaker A:

This is the day that the Lord has made, and I shall rejoice and be glad in it.

Speaker A:

I am not going to allow the enemy to have any place in my life.

Speaker A:

I'm not going to allow him to steal my joy.

Speaker A:

I refuse to allow him to steal my joy.

Speaker A:

I make up my mind to rejoicing the Lord, to praise the Lord on today, to offer up the sacrifice of praise that is the fruit of my lips.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Praising his name.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

Praise God.

Speaker A:

And I hope that you have the same attitude.

Speaker A:

I really do.

Speaker A:

I hope that you have the same attitude.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker A:

I want to say this.

Speaker A:

And we're going to get into the Word.

Speaker A:

It is so easy to start making bad confessions.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker A:

It really is.

Speaker A:

It's so easy to make bad confessions or to start making bad confessions, because a lot of times, we are not led by the Spirit.

Speaker A:

We are led by our human nature or our flesh.

Speaker A:

And instead of making good confessions or saying what God says, being led by the Spirit, we oftentimes allow things that we go through to determine what comes out of our mouth.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Even if our life isn't that bad, we can have one.

Speaker A:

Have you ever met someone who had one bad day and then their entire life has been a failure?

Speaker A:

All I'm saying is don't let the enemy trick you into making bad confession or going contrary to the word of God.

Speaker A:

Don't allow your circumstances to make you speak contrary to the word of God.

Speaker A:

Now, I said all that, and I.

Speaker A:

I wasn't even realizing what I was.

Speaker A:

I kind of forgot what I was talking about today.

Speaker A:

But when it's in you, it's in you.

Speaker A:

So if you're going to follow me on today, I want you to turn to Proverbs.

Speaker A:

Proverbs, chapter 18, verse 21.

Speaker A:

Proverbs,:

Speaker A:

Father.

Speaker A:

I thank you, Lord God, that you are God.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

I praise you, God, not because of all that you've done, even though I could name numerous things that you've done.

Speaker A:

But I praise you for who you are.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

That your word never fails.

Speaker A:

I glorify you on today.

Speaker A:

Father, allow me to play my small part in your kingdom as to fill your kingdom and not seats or.

Speaker A:

My concern is not to get popularity.

Speaker A:

It is your kingdom oh God, may this word bless your people, give insight to your people, heal your people in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

What you'll notice about me if you, if you follow me at all, you will notice that, that I am not a traditional prayer.

Speaker A:

Prayer.

Speaker A:

You know, I don't come with the dusters and thou's and all that good stuff.

Speaker A:

I, I just speak what I want God to do.

Speaker A:

I just praise them in my own way.

Speaker A:

You know, I might say, you might hear me say one day, lord, you a cold piece of work.

Speaker A:

Meaning that you, you're a bad man.

Speaker A:

Meaning that you're good.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Proverbs.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Proverbs, chapter 18.

Speaker A:

Looking at verse 21, and it says, death and life are in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Speaker A:

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.

Speaker A:

What the topic is today, or what I want to ask you on today is what are you confessing?

Speaker A:

What are you confessing?

Speaker A:

That's, that's the question.

Speaker A:

What are you confessing?

Speaker A:

What is coming out of your mouth when you speak?

Speaker A:

What type of world are you creating for yourself?

Speaker A:

Because you have the power to create your world.

Speaker A:

I want you to understand that on today you have the power to create your world.

Speaker A:

Whatever you say out of your mouth, you are literally forming your world.

Speaker A:

So you can be successful with what you say out of your mouth or you can be a failure with what comes out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

You can, you can be prosperous, you know, success meaning prosperous.

Speaker A:

Or you know, just, just have greatness, success just follow you, or you can live beneath your means.

Speaker A:

All of that is determined by what comes out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

And yes, I know we would like to say, well, no, because you don't understand.

Speaker A:

It was other people that did this and it was other people that did that.

Speaker A:

But no, no, no, no, no.

Speaker A:

No one else can create your world.

Speaker A:

You have all the power to determine how your life will turn out.

Speaker A:

Let me show you how, how important or how impactful, how powerful your, your word is.

Speaker A:

Do you understand that?

Speaker A:

God created the heavens and the earth by speaking.

Speaker A:

God himself created the heavens and the earth by speaking.

Speaker A:

He didn't think it, he spoke it.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

Let me say that again.

Speaker A:

He didn't think it, he spoke it.

Speaker A:

Genesis, chapter one, verse one says, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

Speaker A:

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the Waters, I want you to catch this.

Speaker A:

So nothing is formed until God speaks it.

Speaker A:

Did you catch that?

Speaker A:

Nothing is formed until God speaks it.

Speaker A:

So a lot of times we're saying, you know, well, I'm just waiting on God to do this, and I'm waiting on God to do that.

Speaker A:

And you know, hopefully, you know, I'll have this happen for me.

Speaker A:

Or you know, we, we try to, we try to put so much onus on God, although He is important as far as the success that happens in our life.

Speaker A:

But what we tend to do is we, we, we put all the pressure on him and don't realize that we have the ability to create our world.

Speaker A:

We have the ability, the ability to make things happen ourselves.

Speaker A:

Did the Bible not say that we were created in, in God's image?

Speaker A:

He created man in God's image.

Speaker A:

Everything that he, he put in us was, was in his character, his power.

Speaker A:

And so you, you can't play yourself short.

Speaker A:

So if God created the heavens and the earth by speaking it, what do you think you have the power to do?

Speaker A:

See, you say you waiting on God and God is saying, I'm waiting on you.

Speaker A:

Oh God.

Speaker A:

You're sitting there saying, I'm waiting on God to do this thing for me.

Speaker A:

And God is saying, I'm waiting on you to speak it.

Speaker A:

I'm waiting on you to ask for it.

Speaker A:

But you refuse to say anything.

Speaker A:

You know, you, you can't say, we, we have so many people that say, well, well, the Lord knows my heart.

Speaker A:

Yes, he does know your heart, but he needs you to speak it.

Speaker A:

He knows his mind, but he still had to speak in order for things to come to fruition for this world.

Speaker A:

The animals wouldn't be here.

Speaker A:

Adam wouldn't be here.

Speaker A:

The birds wouldn't be here.

Speaker A:

The trees wouldn't be here.

Speaker A:

The, the waters wouldn't.

Speaker A:

None of this would be here if he did not speak.

Speaker A:

So on the flip side, let me ask, let me, let me put this in your ear.

Speaker A:

If God had to speak, what makes you think that you can just sit there and think about it?

Speaker A:

He had to speak.

Speaker A:

If you look at Matthew, chapter nine, verse one through eight, you will read this story about a paralyzed man that was brought to Jesus.

Speaker A:

And Jesus says to him, sir, your, your sins are forgiven.

Speaker A:

I'm paraphrasing now.

Speaker A:

He says, your sins are forgiven.

Speaker A:

And so the, the teachers and, and all the great scholars of the day, they're looking at Jesus like, well, who can forgive sins but God?

Speaker A:

I mean, he was God, but they didn't know It.

Speaker A:

And so the Bible says, and Jesus heard their thoughts.

Speaker A:

He heard what they were thinking.

Speaker A:

Now watch this.

Speaker A:

He heard what they were thinking.

Speaker A:

And so he says to them, which is easier for me to forgive sins or for me to tell this man to take up his bed and walk?

Speaker A:

And so what did Jesus do?

Speaker A:

Jesus spoke out of his mouth, take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

And when he spoke it, it happened.

Speaker A:

Now, if.

Speaker A:

If it could just be done by thinking it, the man would have got up, but Jesus spoke it out of his mouth.

Speaker A:

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Speaker A:

I'm just trying to show you the importance of speaking it out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

Your life could be different tomorrow based on what you say.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

Let me say that again.

Speaker A:

Your life can be different tomorrow.

Speaker A:

It could be better tomorrow based on what you say.

Speaker A:

Let's go to Ephesians, chapter 4 and 29.

Speaker A:

Ephesians 4, 29.

Speaker A:

And it says, do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Speaker A:

Look at the first part of that scripture.

Speaker A:

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

Why does the Bible say, don't let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth?

Speaker A:

Because your words have power.

Speaker A:

Your words have power.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker A:

I was just.

Speaker A:

I just said, you know, your.

Speaker A:

Your world, your.

Speaker A:

Your life can be better tomorrow by the words that come out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

But guess what?

Speaker A:

It can be worse tomorrow by the words that come out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

It is all up to you.

Speaker A:

It is all up to you.

Speaker A:

You know, I remember hearing this story about this woman who was sick, and she had a fever.

Speaker A:

She had a fever that was pretty high, you know, to the point that she could possibly die.

Speaker A:

And so, you know, they could not figure out what was wrong with her, why she was having this fever, why they couldn't get her temperature down.

Speaker A:

And so one day, I guess someone heard her talking.

Speaker A:

I'm not sure who it was.

Speaker A:

I believe this story was told by Kenneth Hagen.

Speaker A:

I believe it was gonna take it, but.

Speaker A:

But anyway, they could not figure what was going on.

Speaker A:

And so one day they heard her talking.

Speaker A:

And do you know that this woman would sit there and get mad and say, you know, that just makes me hot.

Speaker A:

That just burns me up.

Speaker A:

That just makes me hot.

Speaker A:

And so they heard what she was saying, and someone said this.

Speaker A:

Let's try this.

Speaker A:

Stop saying things make you hot or things burn you up.

Speaker A:

And let's just See, do you know that her fever ceased?

Speaker A:

It ceased.

Speaker A:

But now why did she go through that?

Speaker A:

Because she kept constantly saying, this just burns me up.

Speaker A:

Do, do you, do you see how powerful your words are?

Speaker A:

I never forget a.

Speaker A:

I never forget this as well.

Speaker A:

When I was younger, my daddy, you know, loved my daddy, and he was a big quartet fan.

Speaker A:

And, and I believe the story went like this because my mother was telling me story one day.

Speaker A:

But so he's a big quartet fan, and there's this song called I Had a Close Call.

Speaker A:

And so he would just play that song and sing that song.

Speaker A:

You know, I had a close call in my life.

Speaker A:

I mean, constantly just singing the song.

Speaker A:

And so a little later on, he was driving his truck and a semi or 18 wheeler, whatever you want to call it, one of those big trucks hit him.

Speaker A:

And from what I understand it, you know, went over his truck, you know, ran over his truck, and needless to say, he had a close call.

Speaker A:

Just you, you gotta understand your words have power.

Speaker A:

You draw certain things to you by what you say.

Speaker A:

You create your world.

Speaker A:

And let me say this as well.

Speaker A:

I'm, I'll say this is a side note, but I'm thinking about this now, and I think this needs to be addressed.

Speaker A:

You better be careful who you allow to speak into your life.

Speaker A:

You got to be very careful who you allow to speak in your life.

Speaker A:

You know, a lot of these people go to these psychics, you know, save and unsaved.

Speaker A:

You know, unfortunately, I don't know why a Christian would want to go to a psychic, but they do.

Speaker A:

You have to be careful allowing them to speak into your, your life because you think they're seeing your future, but what they are really doing is they are creating your future with the words that they speak.

Speaker A:

See, when you give that person, a person that much authority over your life, you are literally allowing them to create your world.

Speaker A:

And then you'd be sitting there like, oh, my goodness, they were right.

Speaker A:

Well, I guess so, because they, they, they made that happen.

Speaker A:

And I won't get into, you know, spiritual forces and everything, but, you know, that's not of God.

Speaker A:

So if that's not of God, then it got to be of the devil.

Speaker A:

And so you allowing a psychic to speak into your life and create that, that world in your life, and so you can't be shocked when it happens.

Speaker A:

They spoke it into existence.

Speaker A:

I know that hit somebody, but so Ephesians 4 and 29, I believe we already read it.

Speaker A:

Ephesians 4, 29 says, do not let any Unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Speaker A:

Don't let any unwholesome thing come out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

You got to be careful what you say.

Speaker A:

Everything you say has power.

Speaker A:

When you look at married folk, you.

Speaker A:

You'll have an argument.

Speaker A:

You know, husband and wife, they have an argument or a disagreement, and that husband or wife can say something to them that will upset their spouse.

Speaker A:

And you can say, I'm sorry.

Speaker A:

And they can forgive you.

Speaker A:

They really do forgive you.

Speaker A:

But what you said still hurt them.

Speaker A:

See, I think we forget this sometimes.

Speaker A:

Forgiveness is the best definition I ever heard.

Speaker A:

For forgiveness is giving up my right to be mad.

Speaker A:

So, yes, I gave up my right to be mad at you.

Speaker A:

But because you let unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, what you said to me still affects me, although I have forgiven you.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

Somebody's going to be blessed on today.

Speaker A:

I hope you caught that.

Speaker A:

I can forgive a person but still deal with the trauma that they have now put on me.

Speaker A:

So you have to be careful how, what, what, what comes out of your mouth because your words.

Speaker A:

Oh, goodness, your words have power.

Speaker A:

That's going to be the answer for somebody on Tonight.

Speaker A:

I don't know why my wife is.

Speaker A:

It isn't the same.

Speaker A:

I mean, I told her I was sorry and, and she.

Speaker A:

She said she forgave me, and she did.

Speaker A:

But that doesn't mean that the words that you told her didn't have an effect on her and vice versa.

Speaker A:

You know, there's a lot of women that can come out their mouth wrong and it affects their man.

Speaker A:

And you're trying to figure out why your man won't open up to you anymore or your man just goes in another room, doesn't want to talk to you as much, doesn't seem as happy because even though you said I'm sorry, the words that you spewed at him still has an effect.

Speaker A:

Oh, Lord, please let me stay on topic.

Speaker A:

Hallelujah.

Speaker A:

Watch them out.

Speaker A:

Watch them out.

Speaker A:

You got to remind yourself.

Speaker A:

I got to watch my mouth because my words have power.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

James, chapter three.

Speaker A:

James, chapter three.

Speaker A:

We're going to be looking at verse two.

Speaker A:

James, chapter three, verse two.

Speaker A:

We're starting at verse two.

Speaker A:

We all stumble in many ways.

Speaker A:

Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.

Speaker A:

When we put bits in our mouths of.

Speaker A:

When we.

Speaker A:

When we put bits into the mouths of Horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal.

Speaker A:

Or take ships as an example.

Speaker A:

Although they are so large and driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.

Speaker A:

Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts.

Speaker A:

Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark.

Speaker A:

The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body.

Speaker A:

It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one's life on fire, and is itself on fire by hell.

Speaker A:

My, my, my, my, my.

Speaker A:

What a description of the tongue.

Speaker A:

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind.

Speaker A:

But no human being can tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

Oh, God.

Speaker A:

Let me say that part again.

Speaker A:

But no human being can tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

It is a restless evil full of deadly poison.

Speaker A:

With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father and with it we curse human beings who have been made in God's likeness.

Speaker A:

Out of the same mouth come praise and curses.

Speaker A:

Oh God.

Speaker A:

If you ain't ever told the truth, my brothers and sisters, this should not be.

Speaker A:

He told the truth on that.

Speaker A:

But he said.

Speaker A:

He said this should not be, and it should not.

Speaker A:

But let's go back up to the top.

Speaker A:

To the top.

Speaker A:

Notice what it's saying.

Speaker A:

As big as a horse is, it's the bit in the mouth that controls it.

Speaker A:

As big as a ship is, it's the rudder.

Speaker A:

You can have a very big ship, but it is the rudder that controls where it goes by the pilot.

Speaker A:

And so, as big as we are, as gifted as we are, it is the tongue that sets the paths or the path of our life.

Speaker A:

The tongue got big hands, got big feet, big stomach, some of us big head.

Speaker A:

Everything's big.

Speaker A:

But that small thing in your mouth will decide your life path.

Speaker A:

Glory to God.

Speaker A:

I like where it says no man can tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

And that is a true statement.

Speaker A:

No man can tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

None.

Speaker A:

Not one.

Speaker A:

You can't tame it by yourself.

Speaker A:

Now, mankind has tamed all kind of things.

Speaker A:

You can go to SeaWorld right now and they, they can control a.

Speaker A:

A killer whale.

Speaker A:

You can go to the circus and man has tamed elephants and all kinds of things.

Speaker A:

You can.

Speaker A:

You can go to a lot of places and see where man's authority or dominance has been displayed over different animals and birds and reptiles and, and sometimes other people.

Speaker A:

Whether right or wrong, you can do.

Speaker A:

You can go any place.

Speaker A:

You can go to every place and see man's effect on things.

Speaker A:

But the one thing that man has not been able to tame that is that tongue, Lord, the tongue.

Speaker A:

I just want you to get an understanding of how powerful the tongue is and what, how powerful your confession is.

Speaker A:

That tongue has started many wars with nations.

Speaker A:

The tongue has broken up families.

Speaker A:

That's why it calls it, you know, something from hell.

Speaker A:

Because it's that powerful.

Speaker A:

It's that powerful.

Speaker A:

So if man cannot tame the tongue, then who can tame it?

Speaker A:

God.

Speaker A:

God and God alone being led by the Holy Spirit, that's what can tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

That's what you need to tame the tongue.

Speaker A:

And let me say this because the, the verse you know eludes to it.

Speaker A:

Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing.

Speaker A:

See, you can't be, oh God, I'm gonna get in.

Speaker A:

You can't be led by the spirit of God sometimes and be led by your flesh the other time.

Speaker A:

That's called confusion.

Speaker A:

When you allow yourself to be led by the spirit sometimes and then led by the, your flesh the other time, that's called confusion.

Speaker A:

That's how you get praise and cursing at the same mouth.

Speaker A:

That's why you can curse out.

Speaker A:

You can, you can sing praises to God and love on your brother at church and then curse somebody out in the street soon as you get in the parking lot.

Speaker A:

Because you are not led by the spirit of God consistently.

Speaker A:

You haven't, you haven't really surrendered yourself to the spirit of God, to the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

It says those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons or the children of God.

Speaker A:

I have to be led.

Speaker A:

I have to allow him to order my steps every day, not just on Sunday, not just when I need, I need him to do something.

Speaker A:

I can't have this, this part time religion, or some would say this jail religion.

Speaker A:

I have to allow God to order my steps at all times so that I may speak what he speaks at all times.

Speaker A:

That's why you can still praise God and, and then, you know, 20 minutes later you cussing out everybody.

Speaker A:

That's why you can, you can, you know, be speaking words of faith and then as soon as something doesn't go your way, you're, you're speaking words of the flesh.

Speaker A:

You can be positive, so positive and help other people to be positive and lead other people to the Lord and, and encourage other people while they're going through and, and, and you know, help them.

Speaker A:

And then your own situation, you can't get no victory because you're constantly downing yourself.

Speaker A:

You're constantly speaking negative, contrary things to yourself.

Speaker A:

What are you confessing the world that you live in will tell on you.

Speaker A:

And I, I don't mean, you know, whatever country you in.

Speaker A:

I'm talking about your, your personal world, your personal space, your.

Speaker A:

Your household will tell on you.

Speaker A:

How you maintain will tell on you.

Speaker A:

It will tell what you really believe, what you really have been saying.

Speaker A:

You got to let God tame that tongue.

Speaker A:

You got to let God order your steps.

Speaker A:

You got to be led by the spirit of God.

Speaker A:

Otherwise you will find yourself speaking things that are contrary to him and you will see your life be stagnant.

Speaker A:

It may not go backwards, but it will be stagnant.

Speaker A:

I need God.

Speaker A:

I need the word of God.

Speaker A:

Joshua, chapter 1, verse 8 says, Keep the book of.

Speaker A:

Of the law always on your lips.

Speaker A:

Meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful.

Speaker A:

Notice that word.

Speaker A:

You may be careful to do everything written in it.

Speaker A:

Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Speaker A:

I love that word that you be so that you may be careful.

Speaker A:

Careful.

Speaker A:

Are you careful with what you say?

Speaker A:

Are you careful with.

Speaker A:

With what comes out of your mouth?

Speaker A:

That's why, you know, it's not good to speak too quick.

Speaker A:

You know, one thing that I.

Speaker A:

I teach people all the time, and I definitely do myself, is when I'm going through a situation, I put myself in time out.

Speaker A:

If I can't speak something positive, I will put myself in time out.

Speaker A:

If I feel like I may say something that's contrary to the word or something that may stir up strife in my home, I put myself in time out.

Speaker A:

I say, I'm not even going to talk about it right now.

Speaker A:

I rather be quiet than to cause confusion or speak against the word of God.

Speaker A:

And if we can get to that part, if we can understand that many of us would save ourselves a lot of prayers praying to God to bring us out of situations.

Speaker A:

Because that mouth get you in trouble.

Speaker A:

How they say your m wrote a check that your butt can't cash.

Speaker A:

You gotta be careful.

Speaker A:

What are you confessing?

Speaker A:

What are you confessing on today?

Speaker A:

Have you allowed an untamed tongue develop your world or destroy your world?

Speaker A:

What are you confessing?

Speaker A:

Have you allowed moments of despair to make you say things that you say you don't really mean?

Speaker A:

You know, the Bible talks about in Luke, I believe it's Luke 6.

Speaker A:

It talks about the good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his treasures produces evil.

Speaker A:

For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

Speaker A:

The mouth speaks.

Speaker A:

You, you, you.

Speaker A:

You're speaking what's in your heart and what, what you allow gets in your heart.

Speaker A:

Often time oftentimes starts with you speaking something contrary.

Speaker A:

Have you ever said something for so long that it's, it's gotten inside you?

Speaker A:

You heard something, you kept speaking it, you kept replaying it in your mind, and so now it's in your heart.

Speaker A:

You know, someone said that you were no good, and then you kept hearing that, and then you started confessing, I'm no good.

Speaker A:

And, and, and now all of a sudden you, you struggle with depression, you struggle with low self esteem because you have allowed that thing to get into your heart.

Speaker A:

It all started with words.

Speaker A:

And so now that thing is locked in your heart.

Speaker A:

And so now every time you speak about yourself, you see yourself in a negative way.

Speaker A:

Your marriage might be better if you stop complaining about how bad it is.

Speaker A:

Oh, your job might be better if you stop talking about how bad it is.

Speaker A:

You heard somebody complaining about the job.

Speaker A:

You constantly hearing other people complain about the job.

Speaker A:

Now you start saying little things, and then now it's, it's gotten inside you.

Speaker A:

Now you were doing just fine, but because you kept speaking it and meditating on that.

Speaker A:

What does the Bible say?

Speaker A:

Meditate on the Word day and night, night and day, and then you will make your way prosperous.

Speaker A:

Some of us, we meditate on foolishness day and night, night and day.

Speaker A:

And then we start speaking it, we start reciting what we saw or what we heard.

Speaker A:

And then we wonder why we don't want to go to work.

Speaker A:

See, it's just, it's, it's not just for, it's not just for your relationship with God.

Speaker A:

But this is, this is in every area of your life.

Speaker A:

Your words have power.

Speaker A:

See, sometimes when we read scriptures, we just automatically think church.

Speaker A:

But no, this is every area of your life.

Speaker A:

What's your confession?

Speaker A:

What's your confession?

Speaker A:

Meditate on the Word day and night, night and day.

Speaker A:

And the other reason you want to meditate on the Word day and night, night and day is because then you have a weapon to fight with.

Speaker A:

If I'm constantly in the Word, I know what God says about me.

Speaker A:

Glory to God.

Speaker A:

And so when the enemy comes, he can't come with foolery or try to deceive me like he tried to deceive Jesus.

Speaker A:

He tried to use part of the Word and not the whole word.

Speaker A:

Did he not say this and this and this and this?

Speaker A:

And Jesus gave him the Word.

Speaker A:

And so some of us, you know, the enemy will use.

Speaker A:

I, I don't have time to go into that.

Speaker A:

But he, he will use part of the word.

Speaker A:

Part of the word.

Speaker A:

Did he not say, and then you sitting there saying, well, yeah, he, he did say it.

Speaker A:

And you can't combat it.

Speaker A:

You don't have an answer for it because you don't meditate on the Word.

Speaker A:

When you, when, when you see that scripture when it says meditate on the word day and night, night and day, it, it literally means to Mumbai.

Speaker A:

And, and you got to look at it this, at this.

Speaker A:

If I'm not saying the word, then what am I saying?

Speaker A:

It's all about what you say.

Speaker A:

It's all about what you say.

Speaker A:

Make sure you make positive confessions.

Speaker A:

Don't give the enemy any room to make your life anything that God has not called it to be.

Speaker A:

Your words have power.

Speaker A:

The authority, the power is in your mouth.

Speaker A:

Use it.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Thank you for joining us on today.

Speaker A:
